The Circularity Check is a free, online self-evaluation tool for companies, in particular SMEs, that determines a circularity score for a specific product and/or service. In the form of a questionnaire, the tool comprises about 60 questions to check whether the product/service is circular and sustainable, and if so, to what extent. A score is assigned to each question; the higher the score the better.

The calcluation is made based on answering three simple questions:

  • How many people use the urinal?
  • How many times a day does each person use it?

The LCC tools enable life-cycle costing in a procurement process to get the full picture associated with a product, service or works.

LCC shows that the purchase price is only one of several cost parameters connected to purchasing and owning a product. A life-time cost assessment also includes operating costs, including energy, fuel or water usage, maintenance and disposal costs. An LCC calculation may also include the cost of externalities, such as greenhouse gas emissions.
