The war in Ukraine is leaving hundreds of thousands of families and businesses without energy supply. This means no electricity, heating, hot water and hot food. The winter temperature in Ukraine can drop to as low as -15°C. Ukrainian Energy Infrastructure needs support - around 30% of energy Infrastructure has been destroyed by Russian targeted drone campaign. Donations of emergency energy equipment, fuels and funds are urgently needed to repair damaged infrastructure and restore energy supply.
EU-Japan Centre
The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is a unique venture between the European Commission and the Japanese Government. It is a non-profit organisation established as an affiliate of the Institute of International Studies and Training (IIST). It aims at promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan and at improving EU and Japanese companies’ competitiveness and cooperation by facilitating exchanges of experience and know-how between EU and Japanese businesses.
INPUT PAPER Clusters meet Regions event in Vaasa Finland: Clusters as Drivers of the Green Industrial Transition
The following paper has been prepared in the context of the Clusters meet Regions event taking place in Vaasa, Finland, on 24–25 September 2025. The event is organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) on behalf of the European Commission, in collaboration with the Technology Centre Merinova, the Regional Council of Ostrobothnia, the Regional Development Company VASEK, the City of Vaasa, Viexpo, and the University of Vaasa. The event aims to explore the role of clusters in advancing the green industrial transition.
