Light Smart performs a range of functions for improving energy efficiency in companies and organisations.

The tool offers the following:

•  Complex lighting studies
•  Light-tech calculations - comparison of solutions using independent programs
•  Lighting system design
•  Turnkey lighting: calculations, choice of solutions, supply, installation, adjustments
•  Measurement of lighting parameters with metrologically calibrated equipment
•  Luminescent measurement bulletins

The SESEC project has developed a guide and energy-saving methodology for companies in the European clothing industry.

The objectives set out by the project were: 

Sitra's circular economy business models for the manufacturing industry (Playbook) is tailored to Finnish companies and SMEs, and gives examples in four sub-sectors: Machinery & Equipment; Marine; Energy; and Transportation.

• Enable outcome-oriented solutions and new levels of efficiency through technology and digitalisation

Petra Waste Benchmarking is a tool designed to follow up and estimate waste generated in companies and public organisations. Petra also calculates greenhouse gas emission caused by waste. The results can be used for environmental reporting, for instance. Data is treated confidentially by the waste benchmarking tool. Petra can be used free of charge.

Caerphilly County Council offers business development grants that can be used also for projects with resource efficiency potential. The grants are available for the following:

• Capital equipment (including ICT)
• Websites and e-commerce sites
• Marketing
• Feasibility studies
• Business planning

Grants: maximum £ 2 000 (discretionary grant up to 45 % of eligible project costs)
