Summary: The si-Cluster in Athens has established itself as a key actor within the regional industrial ecosystem. The cluster cooperates with and is used by regional authorities in the development of the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3) and in facilitating regional industrial transition. Since its establishment in 2009, the cluster became an important institution in the region, bringing together around 80% of the approximately 100 space actors in Greece.
Summary: The economy in Hajdú-Bihar is strongly influenced by tourism. Due to the landscape, traditions, thermal waters and the knowledge of the University of Debrecen, there are many opportunities and services for recreation, sightseeing, fishing and hunting, gastronomic and cultural events as well as conference and business tourism. The natural thermal springs of Hajdú-Bihar form the thematic core of tourism and represent a special potential for the region.

The following paper presents observations on the Czech clusters landscape and outlines some key considerations for the future development of the region. These considerations may pose some open strategic questions, which can be addressed in the workshops of the “Clusters meets Regions” event.
