EmPowering Industrial eCosystems to boost clustEr facilitated greeN and digiTal tRansition in Europe- EPICENTRE is a project funded by the Single Market Programme (SMP), call Joint Cluster Initiatives (Euroclusters) for Europe’s recovery, from the European Comission.
The main MedBAN objective is to work as a one-stop-shop that will mobilize blue economy SMEs to adopt processes and technologies to reinforce their «twin transition transformation» into a more resilient, greener and digitalized economy in the Blue Economy (open strand), with the aim of reinforcing EU’s strategic autonomy and resilience in several blue sectors (seafood, energy, transport, tourism, technology in general). It will tackle the Euroclusters’ specific objectives on multiple fronts:
Mesap is involved in DREAM EUROCLUSTER (strand DIGITAL) focused on digital and smart manufacturing. It aims at supporting clusters’ activities towards SMEs to speed up the adaptation of digital technologies and processes to transform manufacturing companies as greener and more digital.
The BioMan4R2 project within the European SMP COSME program offers financial support and networking for small and medium-sized companies in the biological products and medical technology manufacturing sectors that want to increase their resilience, sustainability and competitiveness.
The objective of the project is double: to enhance the polymer industry’s capacity to reduce the environmental impact of its products while increasing the European strategic autonomy in its supply of raw materials for polymer production. To achieve those objectives, POLREC will help the industry to switch practices from polymers waste landfilling and burning towards polymer recycling (mechanical or chemical) into raw materials (monomer polymer and additive)
LEVIATAD Project aims at creating the 1st Eurocluster of Excellence on Naval Defense. This will be obtained following an Action Plan on three steps. 1) Obtain a mapping of the Naval & Aero Naval Defence sector value chain post COVID-19 crisis to better understand the European ecosystem’s structure as well as the possible transnational synergies and complementarities.
EuroBoosTEX is a European partnership that aims to accelerate the dual green and digital transition of European textile SMEs and boost their international competitiveness.
Euroclusters for Thriving Creative and Cultural Industries (CREATHRIV-EU) is a European cross-regional joint cluster initiative that aims at strengthening the European Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) and bringing it back on the sustainable growth path after the Covid-19 pandemic. Covid pandemic has exacerbated several issues within the ecosystem that need to be addressed in order for the CCIs to play its vital contribution to the twin transition (Green and Digital) and, in turn, for the growth of the whole EU.
