1600x600 Driving AI Projects Powered by Clusters (2)

Description

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming industry, society, and the economy—reshaping how businesses innovate, compete, and grow. Across Europe, clusters are enabling companies, particularly SMEs, to explore and implement AI technologies through collaborative projects and specialised support services. These initiatives not only accelerate the digital transformation but also foster innovation, regional resilience, and strategic autonomy. AI solutions were also the focus of the latest C2Lab in March in Zaragoza, Spain, where clusters and companies from all over Europe came together to develop new projects ideas to use AI to tackle challenges in manufacturing, health, smart cities, crisis management, and interregional collaboration.

To showcase how clusters are facilitating impactful AI projects, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, organised the EU Clusters Talk "AI Projects Powered by Clusters: Supporting Innovation and Strategic Transformation" on 9 April, 8:30 – 9:45 CET. The session will highlight concrete examples of cluster-supported AI initiatives, including examples of the C2Lab, share lessons learnt from implementation on the ground, and explore how clusters can strengthen their role as enablers of Europe’s AI ecosystem.

Speaker included:

  • Andrei Martiniuc, Manager of the European Projects Department, Transilvania IT Cluster
  • Clara Plata Ríos, Project Director, Smart City Cluster
  • Elvis Bajric, Cluster Manager Robotics, High Tech NL
  • Joan Puaté, Manager, Digital Cluster of Catalonia
  • Silvia Rossi, Manager, Clust-ER BUILD

This event is part of regular online meetings brought to the cluster community by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They offer up-to-date insights into the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, projects and best practices, the latest ECCP news, and funding opportunities. The EU Clusters Talks are a space to exchange knowledge and to discuss cluster-relevant topics, which will change with every meeting.
