Zero Waste Scotland exists to create a society where resources are valued and nothing is wasted. We influence and enable change – from gathering evidence and informing policy, to motivating practical behaviour change in individuals and organisations through our programmes and brands. We also make direct interventions to affect change, commonly in the form of finance, business support, technical advice, training and competence development or communications support.

We’re the driving force of the circular economy in Scotland. Helping make the most of a £3 billion business opportunity with expert consultancy to help find new growth opportunities for small and medium sized businesses and funding the development of new ways of working to help businesses get ahead in a circular economy.

We’re also helping organisations reduce costs by saving energy and water, reducing raw materials use and managing waste efficiently through our Resource Efficient Scotland programme. The programme offers free advice and technical support as well as the sharing of best practices and new technologies

Our funding comes from the Scottish Government and the European Regional Development Fund.
