Ressourcen Forum Austria is an association open to persons, enterprises and other association who want to dedicate themselves to resource efficiency and sustainability. At global and European level, forums have been set up a few years ago to deal with the development of knowledge on resource efficiency issues. The Resource Forum Austria assumes this role at the Austrian level. The association wants to position itself internationally as a think tank for sustainability and resource issues.

The association Ressourcen Forum Austria was founded in September 2013 by representatives of the Federation of Austrian Industries and the chamber of agriculture Salzburg and Austria and has its seat in Salzburg. It is already active throughout Austria and internationally networked. The Resource Forum Austria wants to make a decisive contribution to the concretization and implementation of solutions to the urgent issues of resource and material efficiency in the sense of the European Commission's flagship initiative.
