Interview with Krzysztof Krystowski, President of the Polish Clusters Association about the Congress of Polish Clusters

Interview with Krzysztof Krystowski, President of the Employers' Association of Polish Clusters
Mr. President, why is the Polish Cluster Congress such an important event for the Polish economy?
Krzysztof Krystowski: The Polish Cluster Congress is one of the most important events in the calendar of the Polish economy, which brings together cluster leaders, entrepreneurs, scientists and representatives of public administration. It is a unique place to exchange experiences, present best practices and establish valuable business contacts. Clusters play a key role in stimulating innovation, increasing competitiveness and supporting sustainable regional development. The Congress allows for summarizing achievements to date, as well as setting directions for cluster development in the future.
What topics were discussed during previous editions of the Congress?
Krzysztof Krystowski: During previous editions of the Congress, we discussed a wide range of topics that are key to the development of clusters and the Polish economy. These included issues related to the internationalization of cluster activities, supporting the export of Polish companies, the digitalization of the economy, the green transformation and the role of clusters in the transformation of industry. We also discussed scientific cooperation and technology transfer, as well as the role of clusters as creators of new business models that take into account inclusiveness and gender equality. Each panel was moderated by experts in a given field, which ensured a high level of substantive discussion.
What distinguishes this year's edition of the Congress?
Krzysztof Krystowski: This year's edition is exceptional, because we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Polish Cluster Congress and the 12th anniversary of the Employers' Association of Polish Clusters. It will be an opportunity to sum up a decade of cluster activity in Poland, reflect on the achievements and challenges that lie ahead. The program of this year's Congress has been enriched with study visits to the Podlaskie National Key Clusters - the Polish Construction Cluster and the EVOLUMA Industrial Cluster, which will allow participants to familiarize themselves with the practical aspects of cluster operation and their contribution to regional development.
What benefits can participants gain by taking part in the Congress?
Krzysztof Krystowski: Congress participants have the opportunity not only to gain the latest knowledge on the functioning of clusters and trends, but also to establish valuable business contacts. The Congress is an excellent opportunity for networking, exchange of experiences and ideas with other leaders in the industry. Additionally, participation in discussion panels and study visits allows for deepening knowledge and acquiring practical skills that can be used in everyday activities. The Congress is also an excellent platform for promotion and establishing international cooperation.
What are your expectations for this year's Congress?
Krzysztof Krystowski: I hope that this year's Congress will be as fruitful as previous editions. I expect that participants will take away a lot of valuable experiences and contacts that will contribute to the further development of clusters in Poland. I would also like the discussions during the Congress to contribute to the development of specific recommendations and strategies that will help in even better use of the potential of clusters. I am convinced that thanks to our joint commitment we will be able to achieve these goals.
Thank you for the interview, Mr. President.
Krzysztof Krystowski: Thank you very much and I invite everyone to participate in the 10th Jubilee Congress of Polish Clusters!
