The Barcelona Competitiveness Summer School 2025 promises to seamlessly blend IESE’s renowned academic excellence with the Foundation’s practical expertise, creating an unparalleled experience for all participants. 

This year’s programme delves into the crucial topic of creating jobs and driving prosperity through the enhancement of cluster competitiveness and sustainability. Our alumni have strongly emphasized the need to rebuild prosperity from the ground up, untethered from the constraints of trade wars or geopolitical tensions. Moreover, the role of government in fostering such growth is vital, with Catalonia serving as a powerful case study. With over 30 years of experience in cluster policies, Catalonia has become a global leader in this area, even documented in a renowned HBS case by Dr. Christian Ketels. 

The 2025 programme offers an engaging, hands-on approach: three days of immersive in-class learning at IESE, followed by two days of field visits to gain real-world insights from Catalonia’s successes and challenges. Additionally, participants will have the exclusive opportunity to present their own applied analysis on a case from their own country a few months after the programme concludes.
