3dop Open Call needs and services | Cut off II
CALL MAIN INFORMATION
Trentino Sviluppo announces the launch of the II Cut off of the “3DOP Open Call needs and services” for companies interested in work together with the partners of 3DOP European project: an initiative dedicated to optimizing additive manufacturing, developing cutting-edge technologies in the field of additive manufacturing and bring innovation to market.
In particular, companies can collaborate in three different ways:
- STRAND 1 - Solution owner needs. Support 3DOP solution owners with their challenges to move forward technology from TRL 3-8 to TRL9 (with additional support of technical and non-technical services offered by 3DOP portfolio if necessary);
- STRAND 2 - Free demonstration/piloting services. Test, improve, adapt in-house technologies at 3DOP facility centres with additional non-technical services offered by 3DOP portfolio;
- STRAND 3 - Free non-technical services. Benefit from mentoring services: coaching, training, public and private funding.
The 3DOP project, through its partners, offers a full range of cutting-edge 3D printing solutions and support services for manufacturing companies in the European Union (see the official project website for details of solutions and services).
Benefits for companies applying to the Open Call:
- Validate and test: test technical solutions in real scenarios to identify potential markets;
- Collaborate: collaborate with other companies/entities (3DOP project partners) to develop complementary solutions and initiate projects;
- Identify funding opportunities: find public and private financial resources to support their \innovative efforts;
- Receive guidance: benefit from personalized coaching, technical guidance and training to make informed investment decisions and question business plan and funding strategies.
Access to the 3DOP ecosystem is free for selected companies, as project partners have allocated a budget to support the development of test cases.
TARGET CANDIDATES
The call is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want to develop/market innovation by leveraging additive manufacturing and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Applicants must be based in one of the eligible countries, namely:
- Regions to which the members of the 3DOP consortium belong;
- Regions that have expressed interest in the project;
- Least developed countries (as per Annex I of COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2021/1130).

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Before entering the application form, the applicant is required to choose the type of strand providing all the information requested in the application form:
- Strand 1: Solution owner needs + technical and NON-technical services;
- Strand 2: Free demonstration/piloting services + NON-technical services;
- Strand 3: NON-technical services.
In case the applicant is interested in more than one type of collaboration, the applicant must submit different applications, one for each proposal of collaboration.
The proposal should highlight the benefits brought in terms of efficiency, quality and sustainability of production processes. All required documentation must be completed and submitted following the directions provided in the official Open Call – Cut off II.

TERMS
The Call for Proposals is a rolling open call. Applications must be submitted by filling out the appropriate form in English no later than September 8th at 16.00 (CET), 2025, and will be reviewed periodically in chronological order of arrival on a first come, first served basis. Applications that are incomplete or submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
